How To Begin
If you would like to learn more about Slaton Capital, we have developed a straightforward process for you to get started. We know that taking the first step can sometimes be intimidating. After all, getting your finances in order is not fun for most. We want to simplify the process and let you know what steps need to be taken to get on the right path.
Our 5-Step Process
The first step is a 15-minute phone call or virtual meeting where we introduce ourselves to each other and see whether or not we are a good fit. We will provide you with a brief overview of the firm and you can provide us with a brief overview of your financial situation and your goals. If it sounds like we might be a good fit, we can move on to Step #2.
Step 1:

15-Minute Introductory
Phone Call or Virtual Meeting
Congratulations! The third step is when you become a Slaton Capital client! We begin by outlining the steps to establish your accounts and to put you on the right financial track. We will schedule a Fact-Finding Session (3-hour session) where we learn about your financial life.
Step 3:
Relationship Begins
The second step is a 1.5-hour meeting where we meet at our office (or via web tools). During this meeting, we will begin by learning more about you and your goals. We will then discuss our financial planning process along with our investment and tax management philosophies.
Step 2:
In-Person or Virtual Meeting
After Step 2 it's time to make a decision. We want you to feel confident in your decision to work with Slaton Capital. We are not salesmen and we will not pressure you to make a decision. After the in-person (or virtual) meeting, we will give you time to consult with your family and to think through your decision.
Special Note:
After 4 weeks we will reconvene for the fourth step. During this meeting, we will share with you your custom financial plan, including multiple scenarios and our official recommendations to ensure you are armed with the best information. We will also review the status of your investment portfolios, based on the strategy/models chosen along with loss-harvesting and/or tax-efficient transitioning.
Step 4:
Initial
Strategic
Review
Lastly, with Slaton Capital, your financial plan and investment portfolios will never become stagnant afterthoughts. With life, comes change and as time passes it is important to discuss and update your strategies to ensure you are always in the best position to succeed. Outside of our regular meetings, we have an open-door policy so you can reach us whenever you have anything to discuss.
